Instructions For Use - Blue Sky Bio Custom Millable Abutments
Blue Sky Bio custom millable abutments are intended to be only customized by computerized equipment in the area of the abutment/implant connection. The surfaces mating with the implant should not be modified by any means. The following dimensional requirements should be met after the abutment has been modified:
Minimum diameter at abutment/implant interface: 3.5mm
Maximum length of abutment from abutment/implant interface: 8.5mm
Minimum length of abutment from abutment/implant interface: 4.0 mm
Minimum wall thickness at abutment/implant interface: .61mm
Maximal angle in relationship to the long axis of implant: 30°
The Abutment should have a smooth conical shape without undercuts which could result in areas of inadequate wall thickness. Angled customized abutments and thin implants are not intended for use in the posterior area of the mouth. The abutment has to be inspected and the orientation should be appropriately marked by an experienced and qualified laboratory technician prior to delivery to the restorative dentist.
